Converting a file like an mpeg video to a quicktime file can be a pain specially if you don’t have the proper software to do the task. Normally you have to download one, or two, sometimes three utilities just to convert a file to a format you like. If only we can avoid this hassle just to convert a file to a different format.

With the release of their Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft is now getting ready for Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1. Microsoft have revealed a full features page which lists the additions to their flagship browser Internet Explorer.

An iPhone Hacker has managed to port a functioning P2P client to the iPhone based on a popular Bitorrent client for Macs. According to Gizmodo, this is presently a command line client and the application will most likely drain your battery.

Two weeks ago, I attended the baptismal ceremony of Erwin’s daughter, Faith. One of the guests there was Exx, a friend from my previous work and currently working for Paypal. He told me that Paypal was working on the option for a local bank withdrawal albeit, he didn’t provide any specific dates but he did mention that it will be “soon”. At the back of my head, I was thinking that Paypal will take a few more months before they will make this option available to their clients until I saw this…

Looks like Automattic is starting strong this year as they announced free upload space increase from a measly 50mb to 3,000mb. That’s an instant 60x increase! This is to compete with other blog platform such as from Typepad and Blogger.
