Getting hacked is embarrassing for any website. Getting hacked when you sell security software has to be humiliating, but Trend Micro is not the only security vendor to have its Web site hacked in recent months. In January, parts of CA’s Web site were infected with a very similar type of attack which redirected their visitors to a malicious Web site hosted in China.
A Trend Micro spokesman confirmed that the company’s site had been hacked Thursday, saying that the attack took place earlier in the week. “A portion of our site — some pages were attacked,” said Mike Sweeny, a Trend Micro spokesman. “We took the pages down overnight Tuesday night — and took corrective action.”

Lat year, I was using Trend Micro due to some ISP obligations. Their performance was poorest of all! If they can’t protect their own servers, how they will protect ours? Thanks God, we have switched to another service!

EarnBlogger,
That’s why nobody (on his right mind) will call his system “hacker proof” since it really doesn’t exist even to these security vendors.
jhay,
Its just like tag of war (or MS vs piracy, hehehe), sometimes the other party has the edge over the other then it might turn around the next thing you check it.
But one thing is for sure, they benefit each other on this business.
