I just found out a while ago. I know… this is not my usual post about tech but I just love good food. Krispy Kreme will open 2 branches. One in Global City, Taguig in November 16 November 30 while the other one will be located in SM Megamall which will open this December.

Never thought that one will open here since I heard that the franchise fee is very expensive (and I mean very expensive). Here’s some information I got from their website.

Our franchisees must possess the capital sufficient to fund the development of the market. We currently grant franchises on an area development basis. Specifically, our area developers are required to build multiple stores (10 or more) in a market. The minimum net worth requirement is $30 million or $1,000,000 per store to be developed, whichever is greater. For instance, a 15-store market requires a minimum net worth of $30,000,000.

Gonuts Donuts was a hit here so I guess Krispy Kreme will also be one. Diet??? Maybe next year. :)

It was being discussed on most forum I visit for some time now and SkyDSL makes it official by updating their website. I already requested for the upgrade, hopefully my DSL speed will be upgraded when I come home from work.

Standard Speed 384 KBPS 768 MBPS 2 MBPS
Speed-on-Demand (SOD) 768 KBPS 1 MBPS N/A
Regular Monthly Rate P899 P1,699 P2,699
Free SOD FREE SOD for 1 year FREE SOD for 1 year N/A

I really like the current competition between the local DSL providers. It drives prices down and boost the speed up. Bottom line is… we consumers are always the winners. :)
