I bought some new toys last couple of days and I need to ditch out my old stuff. I’m now selling my Sparkle 6600GT, MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum motherboard and my Thermaltake Venus 12. All of these items are now posted at TipidpC.
Here’s some pics:

Abit is set to unveil a MicroATX form factor motherboard which features onboard HDMI output - a first for the industry. The board, dubbed the IL-80MV, features the Intel 945GT chipset designed for Intel’s current Yonah and upcoming Memom core Core Solo and Core Duo processors. It includes a single x1 PCI Express lane and two PCI slots which could possibly be used for an HDTV capture card or WiFi adapter, which combined with HDMI output make it an ideal platform for a low-noise, low-power home theater PC.
The preliminary pictures of DailyTech’s website show the board will include the standard assortment of features including high definition audio, firewire, and USB 2.0. Additionally, Abit promises the final board will include a variant of its OTES cooling system. While board does not include an x16 PCI-E slot for a graphics card, the target market is certainly not the high-end gamer.
Pricing for the IL-80MV is not set, but it should debut at a lower price point than other Core ready desktop boards given the stripped-down nature of its feature set.

It was really unexpected but my almost 4 year old TV tuner just died on me. Windows can still detect it as an unknown device unfortunately installing the drivers even forcing it to be loaded in Windows was a failure. I got really frustrated about this since I had to cough out some dough again plus I lost my emails (in Outlook anyway) starting from January this year. Talk about bad luck……
Anyway, I rushed to SM North just before it closes. Most of the stores in the Cyber Zone are closed while some are still checking their inventory and stuff. Luckily, I found one store that was still open. I just asked the guards to let me in for just a few minutes since I just need to buy one item. After I few haggles with the PC store, I finally went home with a new TV tuner for P2700. Not really bad considering I bought my old Leadtek TV Tuner for almost the same price.

The tuner is an improvement of my old Leadtek Tuner. It incorporates de-interlacing plus a 10 bit chip. The differences between the two are noticeable. Picture quality is really good and de-interlacing the output provides great result. Though it wasn’t really planned, the upgrade was worth it. I’m very satisfied with the new TV Tuner.

Today Samsung unveiled their new SyncMastermagic CX919B 19†LCD monitor. The new monitor boasts a 2000:1 (Dynamic Contrast) contrast ratio and 2ms response time. I could not find any documentation stating whether the response time is gray to gray or if it is black to white. Either way, those are very impressive numbers.
This is a very nice LCD for gaming. Hopefully, LCD prices will continue to drop and I can get one of these babies this Christmas.
