In one single day, Filipinos from all parts of the globe are united and cheering their boxer Manny Pacquiao while he fights the Mexican Eric Morales on a 12 round bout. Almost all people were glued to their television and radios. This is also the reason why traffic was very light at that time since there are almost no vehicles that can be seen on the so called busy streets of Metro Manila.

Smile! You got OWN3D!

I was not able to completely watch the fight since I was one of the unlucky people that need to be at the office on Sundays. However, that didn’t stop us from staying up-to-date with the fight. I was reading the posts on a thread about the fight in PinoyPC and TipidPC wherein members who have pay per view are giving round by round updates. The two sites were brought to its knees because of the large number of members that were keep on refreshing the page to have an up-to-date information about the fight from other members that are based in the U.S.
Honestly, I was shaking while reading the post because it seems that Morales had the edge against Manny. The rematch of these courageous champions was torrid throughout, the early going fast paced and laced with great exchanges. On the 10th round, Morales looked like he could control the fight in center ring. But Manny’s body shots sent him to the ropes, and Morales retreated as Pacquiao attacked. Morales caught Pacquiao with a counter as he came forward, but Pacquiao resumed the attack to body and head and put Morales down for the first time in his career. Morales rose, but Pacquiao attacked again and dropped Morales against the ropes. The referee waved it off at 2:33, and Pacquiao won by TKO.
