I finally received my 13th month pay the other day and I got myself a new DVD writer. I chose the LG GSA-4167B because of the good reviews and feedback from other owners plus it’s also a multi recorder.

I downloaded the newest firmware and flashed my writer after installing the drive. It works like a charm, burning a 4GB to a DVD-R disk at 2x speed took around 28 minutes. I’ll be getting some blank DVDs with faster write speed for this drive when time permits.
