This was also shown on one one the local channels here. West Australians were treated to a spectacular light show last night when a meteor streaked across the sky. Sightings were made as far south as Albany and inland through the Wheat Belt. Peter Birch, from Astronomy West, estimates the meteor was about the size of a basketball.
