A new variant of sober virus is circulating the net. This virus is currently at level 3 threat in Symantec’s threat list. I started to received this virus on my corporate email yesterday at around 4:00 PM. When I arrived at the office today and check my email, my Inbox was flooded with more than 50 emails with virus attachments. Good thing that our Enterprise Antivirus was able to clean the emails before it reached my Inbox. I’m getting annoyed now because I keep getting these emails every 15 minutes.

W32.Sober.X@mm is a mass-mailing worm that uses its own SMTP engine to spread and lowers security settings. It sends itself as an email attachment to addresses gathered from the compromised computer. The email may be in either English or German.
